This garden is on the south (sunny) face of the mountain, facing the lake. It is the home of an old Italian gent, who's obviously been gardening all his life. But he looked fairly frail to me and I suspect his days as a mountain goat are limited. Although you'd never know by the look of his summer garden!
Top level - masses of strawberries followed by onions and cabbages. Second level - masses of beens and salad veg. Third level - a bit of grass before the tomatoes and then further down the hill -all his fruit trees. Further along the second level is an olive grove.
This is his balcony where he sits in the sun. Look how high he is!
And a final gander at his frames and compost heap. That's the water down below. WOW!
