To continue the story ...... We left the Alcazar of Segovia and walked into town. It was about 8.00 pm. We only made it as far as the main square.

We seriously needed drinks. While the weather was much more bearable than it had been in southern and central Espana, it was still very warm
I was a goody-two-shoes and had cold mineral water, but Paul discovered a local delicacy - A BUCKET OF RUM AND COKE!
Once we were fortified with liquid we kept heading towards the second UNESCO World Heritage site in Segovia - its Roman Aqueduct. It is huge. And because it has been here longer than anything else, the lower town has grown up under, alongside and around it.
As we arrived at 8.30 pm, a stage was being set up for a musical performance - right in front of the aqueduct.
After assessing the potential view from all sides ……
We decided to go for front row seats by settling in at a restaurant for dinner.
