50. La Alhambra and Generalife. Part 5

And there were some other lovely courtyards both big and small ........ 
To be looking down on these last courtyards means we were climbing again ... this time up the "water stairway" 

Its handrails or flumes, on both sides (originally inverted roof tiles) carry constantly flowing cool water from the Royal Water Channel for the palace and then the pools and gardens.

Once we got to the highest point of the garden, the water source (which we couldn't really see) .............

It was downhill all the way  ............

And finally we made it back to the hotel.

I took this photo as we had a beer (for me) and a sangria (for Paul).  This is where I have been sitting to write this version of War and Peace for hours and hours.  It took so long because I had constant difficulty with the photos.  I certainly hope it doesn't continue.  But for now I have finished.
